Case Study: SALOMON
Context
As part of its circular economy strategy, Salomon was exploring the associated new business models and wanted to train its teams on them.
Circular economy topics aren't new to Salomon: the company has put in place a circular economy roadmap and is deeply involved in these new business models. It even put them into practice with the Index.01, a recyclable running shoe.
Needs
Salomon's teams wanted to better understand circular economy business models and learn how to draw inspiration from them for their offerings.
Approach
To meet consumer expectations and the company's technical constraints, a full day of training was offered by Circulab Academy.
This day combined theoretical input with sector-specific case studies to help teams better understand the components of the circular economy and the levers of success. It was also important to pay particular attention to the systemic impact of business models, as well as their feasibility and viability.
Process
During this training day, participants were able to:
- Understand the circular economy's new business models through a systems thinking approach
- Master the Circular Canvas tool and the levers of success
- Apply what they learned to sector-specific case studies
Results
7 people trained across strategic and operational roles (marketing, logistics, sustainability).
